Data: The National Summary File Of Redistricting Data (US Census Bureau/American FactFinder)
2010 Census Redistricting Data is now available! According to Public Law (P.L.) 94-171, we must provide redistricting data to the 50 states no later than April 1st of the year following the census. As a result, we are delivering the data state-by-state on a flow basis in February and March. Each table will provide summaries of population totals, as well as data on race, Hispanic origin and voting age for multiple geographies within the state, such as census blocks, tracts, voting districts, cities, counties and school districts. These files default to states that have already been released.
The National Summary File of Redistricting Data contains selected geographic areas previously released in the 2010 Census Redistricting Data (Public Law 94-171) Summary Files. In addition, this release includes summaries for the United States, regions, divisions and other geographic areas that cross state boundaries, such as American Indian areas, metropolitan statistical areas and micropolitan statistical areas.
